I don’t think I have ever seen a SUV booking window close this fast. The Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition EV sold out in just 135 seconds, with every 999 unit sold. By the time you refreshed your screen, the car you had your eyes on was already gone.

Born out of a collaboration between Mahindra & Mahindra and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, the BE 6 Batman Edition brings a piece of Gotham to Indian roads. Initially planned as 300 units, Mahindra increased it to 999 due to huge demand, but all 999 were gone in a flash.

The Satin Black finish is like the Batmobile, while the gold accents are like the Bat symbol. Even the carpet lamps projecting the Bat symbol makes you feel like you are in The Dark Knight Trilogy. Inside, a numbered plaque (001–999) is like a badge of honour, and the Bat emblems on the seats and Boost button makes you feel like you are flying than driving.

Powering the BE 6 Batman Edition is a 79 kWh battery pack, offering 682 km of certified range and 286 hp output. With ADAS, dual 12.3-inch displays and 16-speaker Harman Kardon system, it’s performance and indulgence.

Priced at ₹27.79 lakh, it’s a premium over the standard variant and is positioned against rivals like Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta Electric and MG ZS EV. Deliveries start on September 20, International Batman Day, so it’s a fitting tribute to the Dark Knight.
